Executive Committee

The Executive Committee manages the daily affairs of ELC Limburg. It closely follows logistics developments and takes action when necessary. The Committee also decides whether activities undertaken by ELC Limburg or projects by other parties can strengthen logistics in Limburg and in what fashion.

The Executive Committee consists of the following members: 


 

Mar van de Kreeke completed his studies in mechanical engineering in 1972 and then joined the firm of Wegenbouw Van de Kreeke in Nuth. He was also a director of Van de Kreeke Transport. He is presently a director of Transpo-Nuth, which acquired Van de Kreeke Transport. Transpo-Nuth has a fleet of 75 vehicles and works with 95 employees in the specialty transport sector. His additional activities include: regional manager for TLN, chairman of the Dutch Road Building Museum, member of the Executive Committee of ELC Limburg, chairman of RREC Belgium Flemish Section, member of the Transport Committee for Building in the Netherlands, and member of the TLN-government Enforcement consulting platform.

Mark Verheijen is chairman of the Executive Committee for Economic Affairs and Financial Matters for the Municipality of Venlo. As such, he also has responsibility for the Floriade scheduled for 2012 in Venlo. He is also a strong advocate of the Cradle2Cradle concept. Verheijen studied history, philosophy and law at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Before being appointed chairman of the municipal Executive Committee for Economic Affairs, he was also a member of the Dutch Provincial Council for Limburg and chairman of the VVD political party in Venlo. In addition to his position as chairman of the municipal Executive Committee for Economic Affairs, Verheijen is presently also serving as vice chairman of the general management board of the VVD.
